like we cannot discuss engg subject deeply in a social network , higher things also need a basic qualification of initiation into a meditation process thru a qualified guide, continue the practice and do the prescribed home work, attend higher classes or advanced training, residential camps, listen to master's messages, and clarify the doubts thru sincere questioning, and attain the maturity in sadhana, and evolve in to a higher consciousness,

like engg, this subject too can’t be treated casually, and for fun.

Also any amount of reading/writing of blogs will lead us nowhere, it should lead us to a guru who only can clarify ,not alone by theory ,but ,more important, by practice and direct experience thru which ability will be gained to see things like in day light, instantly, by switching on the light.

it all depends on us how serious are we, and on what the purpose of life is otherwise it is a wasted effort resulting in no gain at the end

Human body is born with best of purity, perfection, yet, if you believe in rebirth, it has remnants of impurities---remnants of karma day to day done, like metal gets work hardened if bent and unbent a number of times ---it will be annealed to regain its original malleability ductility ---in the same way --this personality has to undergo repeated purification, for body we take bath --for mind ---for intellect some good book/lecture/satsng.---for feeling level ,fine arts, music dance, bhakthi on a istha devatha,---for yet deeper levels meditation etc are the ways 

 

sadhna results in accelerated purification, thus we get evolution in to higher states, and mukthi will be faster. as the purification intensifies thru regularity of sadhana, the mind and nervous system retain awareness abundantly, stresses having been eliminated , individual becomes nicely refined and divine virtues., rather divinity descends in to him, so he becomes a personification of god like kishan, lakshmi, ram, --their features become his property --like prasanna vadanam,mandsmitha vadanaaravindam . no more he will be tossed up and down will be a calm deep ocean , though he is engaged in the most busy activities---essential to lead a eminently successful life, in every sense of the term

he integrates all lokas and adhipathees and joins the supreme who is governing the entire lokaas and adhipathees and pleased., he makes him the joint owner, the ruler . and gradually hands over his supreme seat having found him worthy and loves him so much that he mingles with him unites with his consciousness and the individual consciousness finally and permanently becomes the sole supreme ruler of the universe a jagannath, his command most lovingly obeyed by all the devidevathas.

and all the lokas just reveal to him as if a new bright light has lighted,.the paramjyothi

he is at will to to stay in the body system or stay as awareness unlimited by even the least limited by body.

and after living his life at his will he may drop his body, having served all and best purpose fully, , completing the longest journey from uncountable births and deaths and will stay as awareness governing the universe for ever

    

Basics of Voice Culture

The process of bringing the voice under control is known as voice culture. This study includes traditional and scientific methods to improve the quality of voice. 

Though voice is used for both speaking and singing, the technique of voice production for singing is more complex. Singing requires a more delicate control over the muscles. Effective control of breath, flexible speech organs, adjustments of resonators, wider range, mental perception, etc. are the features wherein the voice can be trained.

Voice production for singing consists of other features also, in which fields the voice has to be trained. They are like the shape of the mouth, effective pronunciation of the words, adjusting the voice to different tempos or speeds, controlling of volume or amplitude as the background of presentation demands, vowel pronunciation and a very important feature of developing imaginative power to improvise.

The voice has to be trained according to the style and type of singing one chooses, e.g. classical, light, folk, pop, semi-classical, etc. This is because each type of music demands a different style of voice production. The male and female built up of the voice producing organs differs. So, the training style will also differ.

The voice is the only living instrument of music. Every individual is unique, so is every voice. Though there are individual limitations differing from person to person, it is very important to note that this is the only instrument, which can be cultivated, improved and cultured, by variation of pitch, intensity and timbre (tonal quality) and all the above mentioned features. 

4 Basic Steps Of Voice Training 
1. Hearing. 
2. Control of Breath. 
3. Practice (Riyaz). 
4. Physical and Mental Fitness. 

Hearing:
Imitation is the first step towards learning. This statement applies to voice training, too. Concentrated listening is the basic requirement. By listening more and more, the brain creates and stores a mental image of the music. The notes, the tunes, the rhythm, the speed, the words, the volume, the tonal quality of the voice or instrument, etc. are stored in the brain. When we try to sing, this mental image co-ordinates with the laryngeal muscles to produce the music required. Thus, it can be easily understood that, the more we hear, the more we listen, there will be a better ability of voice production. We should listen with all the aspects of the musical form in our minds - like, tonal quality, phonetic quality, time intervals, the microtones (shrutis), expressional effects of the voice, etc. The more deeply we listen, the better quality of music we will sing. Better the mental and physical co-ordination, better will be the voice production. Though this is the first, basic fundamental and unavoidable step towards learning, we should remember that this is not the only step. It is not enough by itself.

Control Of Breath: 
This is also a very important step towards voice culture. If we can master our breath, we can easily master our voice for singing. Breath Control gives fine-ness, clarity, steadiness and confident phonation to the voice. There are 4 types of breathing: Clavicular (shoulder), Costal (chest), Diaphragmatic and Abdominal. Clavicular breathing is useful to sing very shrill notes. Costal breathing is used to sing high-pitched notes. Diaphragmatic breathing is useful for every singer. When a singer cultivates this type of breathing, unnecessary and unwanted wobbling or shaking of voice can be controlled. Abdominal breathing helps to sing the lower notes effectively. Also, this type of breathing helps a singer to reach the subtler heights of singing. 

Riyaz (Practice): 
Everyone knows - 'Practice makes man perfect'. Practice should be divided in 2 types: 
1. Trying that which we cannot sing but want to sing. 
2. Repeating that which we already know and bring it closer to perfection. 

By regular practice of singing, we give physical training to all the muscles and the voice production system on the whole. This training will vary with the type of music chosen for singing. The aspects of the voice, phonation, articulation, pitch control vary with the style of music, so will the factors to be emphasized during practice vary.

The time period that should be given for practice will again vary with the expected time period of the performance. In classical types of music where improvisation is a part of the performance, it is necessary to devote more time, even 2-3 hours at a stretch.

One important factor during practice is that we should, along with singing, hear our own singing, critically. We should listen to our own singing like a third party. This will help us to grow faster. We can thus find out our own mistakes and limitations and work over them. This rules out overconfidence. We should always remember that perfection is a word found only in the dictionary, it is an illusion. If we start thinking that our performance is perfect, then the growing, culturing and cultivating totally stops. 

Practice develops the control over the vocal cords. Practice also develops confidence in the singer, which expresses itself in the voice.

Physical and Mental Fitness: 
Singing is an activity of physical and mental movements. It is a synchronization of our physical and mental state. So, physical and mental fitness are necessary for good and happy singing. 

So that our voice should be rich with harmonics, all the resonators i.e. the air cavities in our body should be clean and healthy. This includes the lung cavities, pharynx and nasal cavities, which are directly related to singing. These resonators should be free from coughs and colds, extra mucus and other infections, for a good voice production.

We experience that overwhelming emotions affect our voice controlling capacity. Negative emotions also affect the tonal quality of our voice. Negative emotions are a hindrance to the growth of voice production. Mental fitness leads to a better synchronization of the singing activities.

Regular exercise, healthy and balanced diet and regular meditation or any tension releasing exercises are a necessity for our fitness.

We see people around us who have reached considerable heights without practicing these four steps. This tends many of us to become lazy or we lose trust of this path. 
We should remember that the above steps of culturing the voice help us to reach the higher points of 'our' potential. Even if we do not follow the steps, it will not happen that we will be nowhere, but we will surely miss the highest potential of our own self. The growing of our talents will surely be affected.

all the true significance of their teachings can be , will be, comprehended ,only on the basis of

nor reading million books, in all the worlds libraries

nor by dipping ones head in the ganga waters 1000 times ,

with all faith, belief

without it , it is blind man assuming what ever he feels , with fullest belief , and hope .

we as human, have a duty to treat the living beings as our own children and kith and kin, as a matter of just a little prema, a little karuna, leave alone the cultural ethos of ours.

does it not move one's heart to see or imagine an animal, a fowl , a fish being cut, merciless, bleeding and convulsing with great pain and suffering and falling dead--all to satisfy our urge ?

man, pause a little, ponder a bit, go not backward in the evolution to stone age when due to survival needs, he ,had to / did kill and ate flesh unknowing

now there is no such need .man can live without killing, and can live better. 

each of us individually must think and decide what is good and bad, and whether is it really not possible to live better.

then only there is a hope to minimize negatives in the individual life and society. After learning and practicing meditation for a few weeks, i felt i should not take meat , i preferred to be a pure vegetarian and continuing till today,

to do an effective interaction on spiritual aspects we need to have some basics  

most essential is the experience of self realization, a glimpse of the absolute pure consciousness at least once, at least for a fraction of a second, for the entire life 

 with this light the interaction yields the results on what purpose the sharing is done

--ie lighting the light and kindling the other lights.

if this is not met any amount of elaboration on any aspect becomes only a cry in the bewilderness, 

the receiver lacking the ability to take the message and innocently arriving at erroneous , irrelevant conclusions even contra conclusions on what is said. 

and discussion becomes a mere waste  

also essential is the precise definition of terminology in the subject,

 

like what exactly is meant by words like  god, devi ,devatha brahma vishnu maheshwara, paramathma, jeevathma, and other terms

for eg to know what is chemistry 

we must have the level of matriculation , 

and not all can discuss otherwise, like a boy of ukg lkgr 1/2/3standard cannot understand what the best teaches can explain

and precise definitions like what is substance, mixture / compound

 molecule, atom, what is chemical reaction what is physical reaction, what is ion what is atomic weight ,molecular weight etc to make all understand clearly what is being learnt 

to test the theory we need a chemical lab

similarly we need in spiritual matter one should have his body mind senses ready to undergo / subject it to tests and verification.

and like a senstive balance in the lab, we must have the units and way to quantify the results of our investigation in to our own personality , that is our lab.

this aspect distinguishes human from animal , Senses turning inwards, instincts of survivals getting regulated for higher purpose in life , eventually overcoming the limitations of 4 , aahaar nidra bhaya maithuna------is the full perspective of the word celibacy, and is the result of one living in brahman consciousness, ie brahma charya 

without realizing and living brahman consciousness , brahmacharya, one cannot be a true celibate, 

without brahman consciousness , celibacy is most difficult path of mind/sense control , it is the way of ignorant

in brahman consciousness, living becomes most natural, as senses having tasted the joys of brahmanand, naturally become averse to anything less than it , are naturally are tuned to it, are naturally turned inwards towards it

and thru sustained practice this atmanubhuti gets stabilized 24 hours,,,,,

but but the purity of teaching gets lost in the parampara in course of time , sadhana becomes ineffective, .......

Brahmacharya is the foundation for a meaningful life, for joys much more than the sensuous.

if the foundation is weak the building of life is bound to collapse, sooner than later 
causing the inevitable ruin to self and society 

it's the best insulating shield against all the dangerous inputs / encounters 
any other solution, soft or harsh, including the punishment, death etc is not going to help 

history is repeating, will repeat with vengeance, until the human rediscovers this only, only, effective solution, brahmacharya, 
and starts implementing in the current times 
for disciplining this eternal, natural, procreative instinct , designed for perpetuation of human race for both genders, 

this automatically stops the commercial exploitation of sacred female physiology in every movie and every advertisement 

and takes the race to the yatha poorve level 
where woman will be worshiped as god
as One of the verses from Manu Smriti says, 
Yatra Nari Astu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devataa
– meaning Gods reside in places where a woman is worshiped

this aspect distinguishes human from animal , Senses turning inwards, instincts of survivals getting regulated for higher purpose in life , eventually overcoming the limitations of 4 , aahaar nidra bhaya maithuna------is the full perspective of the word celibacy, and is the result of one living in brahman consciousness, ie brahma charya 

without realizing and living brahman consciousness , brahmacharya, one cannot be a true celibate, 

without brahman consciousness , celibacy is most difficult path of mind/sense control , it is the way of ignorant

 Beauty of these swaras are that each of them are residing the tones of Animals. Since Naadam itself is Brahmah, each swara is also a Deity. Each of these deities are expressing themselves in each of these swaras. That is each of the deities is residing inside these swaras in Sublime state. Hence each of them has their own Beejaksharams.
